Gay Pride Montreal (LBGT Pride)
Fierté Montréal aka in English as Montréal Pride is an LGBT multidisciplinary arts and music festival taking place each year in the heart of downtown Montreal (in Montreal’s Gay Village area) and is now the largest LGBT event in Montreal. Its primary mission is to support and promote local LGBT communities while attracting close to 400,000 local and international visitors over seven days (Monday to Sunday) usually in mid-August of each year.
In 2015, the Montréal Pride festival will be held from August 10 to 16. It is open to all audiences, gay and heterosexual; and attracts a large number of participants from various institutions and is attended by Montrealers and international tourists alike. Major events include the Montreal Pride Parade on René Lévesque Boulevard in Montreal and Community Day in which many LGBT associations and enterprises organize events and displays to present their activities to the general public. Theatre, art exhibitions, live concerts, variety shows, concerts, club events also take part of the festivities.
If you are looking to rent a place nearby, then Condo 201 Charlotte is your best bet for the parade (literally one block from Rene Levesque), with Condo 2037 Clark being a couple of blocks further north from the parade, but still easily accessible by foot. Both condos are not far from Montreal’s Gay Village.
