Here is a map of some parking lots in the area. There a pay for indoor/outdoor parking lots (green ‘P’ icons), and some free street parking spots (red ‘P’ icons). Always check the street parking signs if you plan to park on the street! Parking meters are also common in downtown Montreal (click here to see how the parking meters work).

In general, the chargeable periods for on-street parking are below (again verify the parking meter itself for exact charge periods).

  • Sunday: 1 pm to 6 pm
  • Monday to Friday: 9 am to 9 pm
  • Saturday: 9 am to 6 pm

What do the ‘P’ icons on the map mean?

  • Green icons: Pay for parking lots
  • Red icons: Limited free street parking (always check the signs for parking hours!)
