As a former Montrealer, I can appreciate the new pre-construction condo project in development: King Toronto. It’s reminiscent of Montreal’s Habitat 67 with a unique architecture designed to fit into the heart of King West’s Entertainment District; an area already known for its charming low-rise historical brick architecture and vibrant lifestyle. Earlier collaborations between the developer and architect Bjarke Ingels Group include the highly successful Vancouver House and Telus Sky in Calgary; architects well known for unconventional buildings that incorporate sustainable principles and bold concepts.

King Toronto is a unique new condo development rising 16-stories with four peaks wrapping around its central courtyard. Each floor allows many suites in the building to enjoy spacious terraces and multiple exposures. The design centers on adding to the sense of community along King West, with a focus on public spaces, pedestrian connectivity, art installations and heritage commercial spaces along the street and courtyard.
